The DDJ-FLX4 is an affordable product that takes over the professional layout of the DDJ-400, the reference point for entry level controllers, while its user friendly design makes learning to DJ easier. You can choose from several DJ applications to mix music with, including free use of Performance mode in rekordbox on Mac and Windows. On top of that, a major update of rekordbox for iOS and Android arrives in early 2023, so you will be able to use the DDJ-FLX4 with your iPhone, Android phone, iPad or Android tablet as well. Serato DJ Lite is also free to use with the controller and can be upgraded to Serato DJ Pro if you buy a licence or take out a subscription. All these software options let you play music files stored on your device, as well as tracks from TIDAL, Beatport Streaming, Beatsource Streaming and SoundCloud Go+ (subscription required)

The controller also includes two brand new Smart Mixing functions that let you dive into mixing straight away. Switch on Smart Fader and you can move between two tracks easily by simply moving the crossfader or the channel fader, even when you want to move from one genre to another, which is usually hard to master. With a simple fader move, the BPM, the volume, the bass level and other characteristics of the music adjust automatically to create a smooth transition, and you do not even need to turn on the sync function. With Smart CFX you can lift your favourite tracks, applying complex effect combinations to the music by turning a single knob.

When you are ready to share your performances with your friends and followers, the DDJ-FLX4 is the perfect tool for it. USB output of the microphone sound means you need no external equipment, such as a mixer or a sound card, to add your voice to your mixes. Instead the microphone sound comes from the controller together with the music, so you can share your set easily through a single stream from one computer.
