Behringer SOLINA STRING ENSEMBLE
Recreating a legendary synthesizer is always a significant challenge—especially when it comes to an iconic instrument from the golden era of analog sound. The Behringer SOLINA STRING ENSEMBLE is a faithful revival of a classic ’70s design, carefully re-engineered to deliver its unmistakable character to modern musicians.
Staying true to the original architecture, the instrument features classic ensemble voices including violin, viola, trumpet, horn, cello, and contrabass, along with essential controls such as tuning, crescendo, bass, and volume. Its signature lush, orchestral sound is achieved through traditional divide-down technology, now housed in a more compact and modern format for seamless integration into contemporary setups.
A key element of its distinctive sound lies in the integrated multi-stage Bucket Brigade chorus, which closely replicates the original modulation character. Complementing this is an authentically recreated phaser effect inspired by the classic Small Stone design, complete with a dedicated rate control for precise modulation shaping.
Beyond its vintage roots, the SOLINA STRING ENSEMBLE is designed with modern workflows in mind. Comprehensive MIDI implementation, channel and voice priority selection, and modulation outputs ensure effortless integration into both studio and live environments.
The unit is also Eurorack-ready, allowing it to be mounted in a standard modular case. With straightforward installation and included mounting hardware, it can easily be combined with other modules to create a highly customized synthesis system.
The Behringer SOLINA STRING ENSEMBLE is a versatile analog synthesizer offering linear, logarithmic, and exponential characteristics, opening up a wide range of creative possibilities—while delivering exceptional value.
