Neumann KH 120 II
Neumann KH 120 II – A New Level of Studio Monitoring
Neumann's renowned studio monitor, the KH 120 II, has reached a new level: it now features deeper bass, richer detail, and an integrated DSP engine.
Redesigned for Superior Performance
While the KH 120 II follows the same fundamental design principles as its legendary predecessor, its parameters have been completely re-engineered for improved performance. The new model boasts deeper bass response, higher SPL handling, and enhanced linearity. The built-in DSP engine provides significant advantages, including a linear-phase crossover and room-adaptive sound calibration via Neumann’s revolutionary MA 1 Automatic Alignment system.
Key Features
Linear frequency and phase response
Extended low-frequency range down to 44 Hz and high SPL handling
DSP engine for enhanced performance and automatic room calibration
Uncompromising precision with exceptionally tight tolerances (±0.5 dB)
Analog (XLR) and S/PDIF (RCA) inputs, with optional AES67 support
Compatible with immersive/surround setups, easily integrating with other KH-series speakers
Even More Perfect – KH 120 II
When Neumann introduced the KH 120 A in 2010, it marked the beginning of a success story. Since then, Neumann studio monitors have become the preferred reference system in countless studios worldwide. The KH 120 II carries forward Neumann’s signature philosophy: absolute sonic neutrality, maximum linearity, and perfect adaptation to any acoustic environment.
With refined parameters and a powerful DSP engine, the KH 120 II delivers even greater clarity and efficiency. It enables you to create mixes that translate flawlessly across all playback systems—effortlessly.
What You Hear is What You Get
The KH 120 II features an exceptionally flat frequency response (44 Hz…21 kHz, ±3 dB) and linear phase response (120 Hz…16 kHz, ±45°). High-performance amplifiers ensure low THD and crystal-clear sound, even at high volumes.
Room-Adaptive Sound Calibration
The integrated DSP engine allows for precise room calibration using Neumann’s revolutionary Automatic Monitor Alignment MA 1 system (sold separately). This ensures that DSP-driven monitors deliver optimal sound tailored to your room and listening position.
Expanded Connectivity
The KH 120 II is equipped with analog (XLR) and S/PDIF (RCA) inputs. Additionally, the KH 120 II AES67 variant features redundant AES67 network audio ports, fully supporting the ST 2110 and ST 2022-7 broadcast standards. It is also compatible with AES67 network streams generated by DANTE®.
Energy-Efficient Performance
The KH 120 II utilizes a patented amplifier technology that combines exceptional audio performance with energy efficiency. While its power amplifiers deliver up to 145 W to the 5.25″ woofer and 100 W to the 1″ tweeter, it consumes only 17 W in idle mode. In automatic standby mode, power consumption drops to just 0.3 W, and the unit can also be fully powered down when not in use.
